PTI FOLLWERS Is Pakistan set for new Khan vs government showdown after PTI arrests? Islamabad, Pakistan –  The arrest of several legislators and leaders of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party in overnight police raids could trigger yet another showdown between the opposition and the government, analysts have said. The politicians belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party were arrested on the premises of Pakistan’s parliament late on Monday, a day after the PTI held a rally on the outskirts of capital Islamabad to  demand Khan’s release  from prison.

Pakistani judges say intelligence agency threatened them over Imran Khan Claims by senior Pakistani judges that the intelligence agencies put pressure on them in cases involving the former prime minister  Imran Khan  have reached the country’s supreme court, following the publication of an unprecedented letter that has created a storm in Pakistan. The letter from the six high court judges alleged the abduction of family members, torture, installation of cameras in their bedrooms and threats from the powerful Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI).   عمران خان کی پی ٹی آئی کی جانب سے ریلی پر پابندی کی خلاف ورزی کے بعد اسلام آباد کنارے پر ہے۔ سکول بند، دفعہ 144 نافذ پاکستان کے دارالحکومت اسلام آباد میں جمعرات 22 اگست کو اس وقت کشیدگی پیدا ہو گئی تھی جب جیل میں بند سابق وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی پارٹی نے شہر میں اپنی منصوبہ بند ریلی کے ساتھ آگے بڑھنے کی دھمکی دی تھی۔ بدھ کو اسلام آباد کے چیف کمشنر محمد علی رندھاوا نے پارٹی کو جاری کیا گیا این او سی معطل کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ سیکیورٹی وجوہات کی بنا پر کیا گیا تھا۔ 31 جولائی کو ڈپٹی کمشنر نے عمران خان کی پی ٹی آئی کو جلسے کی اجازت دیتے ہوئے این او سی جاری کیا۔ حکم نامے میں کہا گیا کہ موجودہ صورتحال کے پیش نظر پی ٹی آئی کے جلسے کی اجازت دینا غیر محفوظ ہے۔ حکومت کے انکار کے باوجود پی ٹی آئی کا پاور شو منعقد کرنے کا فیصلہ بڑے پیمانے پر بے چینی کو بڑھاتا ہے۔
